Introduction
The year 2025 began with the announcement of a new “New Year’s Motto” by True Parents.

“In the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, when we attend the Creator Heavenly Parent substantially, let us, the blessed families around the world, become true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk who fulfill our responsibility as the chosen people in unity with True Parents!”

The New Year’s Motto, which had remained unchanged after True Father’s Holy Ascension since December 1 by the Heavenly Calendar in the 1st year of Cheon Il Guk (January 1, 2014), underwent a significant change as we entered the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk. Furthermore, after its proclamation, True Mother added, “This is the New Year’s Day Word that begins in the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, today, the year of the Snake, and will continue from generation to generation.”

Although it is described as a word that will continue from generation to generation, it includes “the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk.” This does not mean it is a New Year’s Motto limited to the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk; rather, it can be understood that the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk was deliberately specified within this New Year’s Motto that will continue for generations. Why is that?
True Mother has long emphasized the significance of 2025 (The 13th year of Cheon Il Guk). April 13, 2025, has been defined as the completion of heavenly providence and the completion of human history. Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum Entrance Ceremony is such a crucial moment, both for heavenly providence and for us, humankind.

Now, as we stand at this pivotal turning point, significant both providentially and in human history, the New Year’s Motto has once again clarified the position and responsibility of us Blessed Families.

So, what are the key points we should understand through this New Year’s Motto?

First, we have entered the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, where we can welcome God as our Heavenly Parent and attend Heavenly Parent substantially.

It is, of course, we children who attend Heavenly Parent. After six thousand years, we have finally welcomed God to earth, and we children have entered an era where we can attend God as our Heavenly Parent.

The responsibility to welcome God as Heavenly Parent rests with us, the children. The dream of the ideal of creation that God sought to fulfill through Adam and Eve now lands in “our” families. “Heavenly Family” who has welcomed Heavenly Parent and True Parents at the center is the very core of heavenly providence from now on.

Whether we treat the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum Entrance Ceremony as merely a historical event, or whether we perceive it as a great turning point in heavenly providence—recognizing that the “our” family that welcomed Heavenly Parent is the very fruit of providence’s completion—depends entirely on our attitude.

Second, it is precisely we, the Blessed Families, who are the “chosen people” of the contemporary providence.

Through the Epic History of the Chosen Han People of Korea, we have come to deeply understand the meaning of the term “chosen people.” Through this term, it became clear that the Korean people are not merely a blood-related, regional collective, but a destiny-bound entity with a special purpose and character. This signifies the existence of a special plan and God’s Will, the “providence,” centered on Heavenly Parent.

Furthermore, a crucial focus is placed on the question of “who” chose the Korean people as the chosen people. From this perspective, what True Mother seeks to reveal through the term “chosen people” is the Creator, “Heavenly Parent.” It is none other than Heavenly Parent who called the chosen people.

Moreover, True Mother emphasizes that the meaning of “chosen people” is not limited to a specific region after the manifestation of True Parents. It is precisely we, blessed families, who have been reborn into the true lineage through the blessing of True Parents, who are the heavenly chosen people. In other words, it is being reaffirmed that it is Heavenly Parent who called us. Furthermore, the absolute condition for qualifying as the chosen people is being a blessed family united with True Parents.
“If you become one with me, you can overcome everything.” Since True Father’s Holy Ascension, we have heard this word many times through True Mother, who assumed responsibility for the earthly providence. To become one means that we are united with her in heart, circumstances, and hope. We have to directly accept True Mother’s expectations for “chosen blessed families” united with True Parents.

Third, it is the awareness of our responsibility as children.
The previous New Year’s Motto was “Let us become true owners of Cheon Il Guk,” but starting in 2025, it is “become true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk.” This signifies that God stands as our parent, making the position of children clear. We, blessed families, are the sons and daughters of the Heavenly Parent. We are children.
What is the responsibility of children? It is to resemble our parents. It is to become children who can inherit everything from the parents. The standard for this is the victory of Heavenly Tribal Messiahship and fulfilling the standard of the CheonBo Family. True Parents taught us throughout their lives that this is the destined path children must walk, and that there is no other way to inherit the realm of victory of the parents. Only then can we become owners of Cheon Il Guk.
When considering this responsibility of children and the victory of the Heavenly Tribal Messiah, the providence we must reflect upon is “Home Church” providence. Originally, the twenty-one years following True Parents’ Holy Wedding were designated as the era of parental responsibility, with the era of children’s responsibility beginning in 1981. Centered on the year 1981, the phrase “Home Church” appeared consecutively in the New Year’s Motto for five years before and after. In other words, at this time, the central providence was for the children to achieve victory in the Home Church through their responsibility.

Originally, the principle is that we should first love and witness to Cain’s realm before loving and witnessing to Abel’s realm—our family and tribe. Going out to witness to this Cain’s realm was precisely the providence of these 360 Home Churches. True Father’s words at that time contain much that connects to the activities of the Heavenly Tribal Messiah and the regionalization we are now undertaking.
However, in this Home Church Providence, we failed to achieve the standard desired by Heaven. Because of this, the True Family had to shoulder the heavy cross. From 1991, a great decree was issued to the victory of the Tribal Messiah, shifting the providence to loving and witnessing to families and tribes within Abel’s realm. We must understand that this shift came not because we had achieved victory, but because it was an era ushered in solely through True Parents’ sacrifice and the grace of their victory.
Meanwhile, the effort to love our local communities, harmonize with the people living there, and make the regions into Cheon Il Guk is needed now more than ever. The principle remains unchanged: we Blessed Families must become one centered on True Parents, love our local communities, and advance toward becoming Heavenly Tribal Messiahs based on the foundation of restored birthrights. In undertaking this work, we can learn much from True Parents’ words regarding the providence of the “Home Church.”

Based on this understanding, this book has been organized and edited into three parts, selecting and excerpting True Parents’ words.
Chapter One focuses on the theme of aiming to make our own families “Heavenly Families” that attend Heavenly Parent. It presents words emphasizing creating model families, husbands and wives, parents and children attending Heavenly Parent together within the family and realizing the family kingdom of heaven.
Chapter Two gathers the Words emphasizing that, after establishing such a family, we should not remain within our own household but form one tribe centered on True Parents as a blessed family. It also mentions fulfilling the mission of the Heavenly Tribal Messiah through the Home Church.
Chapter Three gathers the Words from three points we should understand through this New Year’s Motto announced by True Parents on January 1, 2025.
The era is undergoing a momentous transformation. Having passed through the wandering age of indemnity, we are now in the era of firm establishment. It is the era of welcoming the True Parents of humankind, whom the six-thousand-year providential history of salvation has sought, and together shaping the dream of Heavenly Parent. It is an era where the original God’s position of Creation is firmly established, and the ideal of creation is firmly established. The very landing point of this providence is “our” family. From there, the regional establishment of Cheon Il Guk and the victory of the Heavenly Tribal Messiahs begin.
Let all blessed families, with the awareness of being the chosen people in their hearts, advance toward the firm establishment of the “Heavenly Family.”

Chapter 1 Heavenly Family attending Heavenly Parent

Becoming a Model in Family Life First

You need to raise your family to be a family that can actualize God’s Will. For this, the father and mother must change first. In establishing a tradition, senior Unification Church members ought to set the standard first, before their sons and daughters. You should establish the tradition by becoming trustworthy parents, trustworthy siblings and trustworthy sons and daughters. Everything begins within the family. Throughout history up to the present day, individuals have modeled themselves on other individuals. Societies change, modeling themselves on more developed societies. Many people, and many nations, have tried to do this. However, there has not been a family that people have tried to emulate. In the history of the world, there has been no such family to this day. Nor has there been teaching that guides people to emulate a certain family. There have been many assertions about emulating certain nations or individuals, but no such assertions about families. Then what is the problem that still remains? It is not that we need an individual or a nation to worship, but that we need a family that everyone can revere. It is only that kind of family that can found a new world and bring eternal happiness to the universe. If we settle down with such a family, it will become the basis for our happiness as well. This is why no society can do without the family. If families cannot be restored, the world cannot be restored. The next step is to fulfill the cosmos-centered ideal through these families. The cosmos encompasses heaven and earth. Heaven and earth can be compared to a person’s mind and body. Mind and body must become one. Just as a subject partner needs an object partner, one man needs one woman. The union of a man and a woman leads to a family. God’s foundation of love will not be attained unless such a family is at the center. (Pyeong Hwa Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 4, 14)

The “cosmos-centered philosophy” is a teaching that promotes the unity of mind and body, the formation of families as God’s main body of love, and the connection between the physical world and the spirit world through these families. The character ju in cheon-ju (cosmos) refers to a house. That is why we use the term “cosmos-centered philosophy.” The cosmos is a combination of the incorporeal world and the corporeal world. What does this have to do with us? Everyone needs a family. If you cannot be as one in your family, you will have nothing to do with the cosmos-centered philosophy. The family serves as the final standard for completing the cosmos-centered philosophy. Those who cannot sing songs of peace and happily praise their families will be miserable, whether they are on earth or in the spirit world. Developing a good personal faith hinge mostly on relating to a good leader. However, to develop a good family, each of you must become a leader to one another. We need to ask for whom and for what the members of the family exist. When you were single, you could pray and everything would come to pass. However, once you have a family, if someone in it opposes you, you have to bear the cross and persevere until your relationship with that person reaches the original standard. A single person is like one car in a train, but the family is like a locomotive. It is simple to restore an individual’s mistake. But if something goes wrong in the family, it affects everyone, even bringing them to ruin. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 11, Chapter 4, Section 1, 12)

A life of faith until now has been a quest to find the true self. It has been a quest to rise from the position of fallen Adam and Eve and create the original sinless self. Now, what is God’s ultimate wish? First, it is for sinless individuals to form families based on His love. Then through such families whom God can love, the tribe, the nation and the world can be redeemed. This is God’s overarching Will. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 8, Chapter 1, Section 1, 4)

The family is the standard of perfection for the individual and the standard of perfection for the church. No matter how well you do as an individual in pursuing the Will of God, if you do not succeed with your family, it is a problem. That is why the family is the issue. In the family there is not only one side, but there are also two. There are man and woman, and on the foundation of one man and one woman, there are parents and children. Therefore, four directions appear. Looking at this four-directional pattern, we see that it is not human will that creates the family. The family is the place God designed for the perfection of the individual, as well as the starting point of the church. If a problem occurs in the family, you should find the solution in the family, not in the church. If anything goes wrong, you should seek the solution in the family itself, not the church. If you cannot resolve this at home, neither can the church provide a fundamental solution. The kingdom of heaven appears not centered on the individual, but on the family, where four directions and three dimensions meet. You have family members, so you should become people who can share love as brothers and sisters and support one another. You should become the model members of your family. And as members of the Unification Church, you should become men and women who can be recognized by all members of the church. From now on, we should cut off what needs to be cut off and separate from what we need to separate from. You should not just live as you please. The Unification Church must establish the kingdom of heaven. Hence, rather than merely recovering ourselves, we have to recover the family. Those who can’t become exemplary in their family life will be accused by the world, even by the cosmos. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 11, Chapter 4, Section 1, 9)

It is not a matter of the church. The question is whether God has settled in the family. What matters is the fundamental principle.
God must first establish His dwelling within the individual, and then within the family. Unless God can be firmly settled in the family, one cannot become a genuine high priest.
If a husband and wife fight at home and come to church to worship, do you think God will be with them there? Before we welcome God into the church, we must first welcome Him into our families. All relationships, in every sequence, follow this order. (August 16, 1970)

We cannot live separately from the heart. Even if you were the president of a country or possessed all the authority in the world, you could not live without a place to express the joy in your heart. The desires of your heart would not be fulfilled through the people under your command, through your ministers of government, or through your followers. Only in your family could you experience such fulfillment. When you return to your family, you and your spouse feel joy through each other and through your children. You ought to be proud of this. This joy can be experienced only directly, not secondhand. The same is true for God. Even if He were to restore the whole world, without a family He could not feel joy. So we must have families. Each of us was born as a central being of the entire universe, with the capacity to receive all the love in the universe. The highest purpose of life is to be born through love, to be raised in love, to live by love, and to leave a legacy of love when we die. Nothing can be of greater value than to live out our natural life within our own family as a life of love that is the center of the universe. The True “I” and “We”
Nonetheless, as Jesus said in the Parable of the Lost Sheep, You could not abandon even the least of Your children. As the God of love, you pushed forward to one day find us, embrace us into Your bosom, and realize with us the world of peace that You envisioned at the beginning. You want us to know You as our Heavenly Parent, the One who is the love of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. You want us to live as heavenly individuals, heavenly families, heavenly tribes, heavenly peoples and heavenly nations in a heavenly world. (Mother of Peace, p4)

If you had inherited the lineage of true love centering on God, you would now be a true being imbued with true life, true lineage and true conscience. However, due to the Fall, you became a false self; that is why your mind and body are in conflict. Now, however, the time has come for all of you throughout the world to join the family of the original Adam. Indeed, all the people of the world must perfect themselves based on this family. What must we do to reach perfection? Fallen families have to take up the task of restoration through indemnity. Individuals and families throughout the world have to invest in themselves to accomplish this, under the guidance of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. Perfection has to be achieved by Adam and Eve, a man and a woman. God cannot do it for them. True Parents cannot do it for them. For this purpose, the Family Federation was created. It is a global organization; it will assist you all over the world to leap beyond fallen Adam’s lineage. When you are climbing to the top of a mountain, if on a slope you make a misstep and tumble down, you have to climb up again. It is the same when climbing up the course of restoration. Every time you make a misstep you have to climb back up again. You have to repeat it again and again until you are successful, even if it takes millions or tens of millions of years. You cannot rejoice in who you are, since you are not your original self. You must recognize that your situation is sorrowful. Your grief, however, should not be directed toward the world. Even when you feel pain, your pain should bear no relationship to the anguish of the secular world. When you feel sadness and pain, your sadness should come from being unable to find your true self. No matter how great the anguish and suffering of the world, they do not exceed the sadness and pain people experience being unable to find their true selves. Given this situation, for whom has God been searching until now? God has been searching for each of you. This is why you need to uncover and strengthen your true selves. Otherwise you have no relationship to a true family of true individuals, a true society built upon true families, a true nation of true societies, a true world made up of such true nations, or to the cosmos that bears this ideal world that perfectly centers on the substance of oneness. The first standard for all these levels of goodness is individual perfection. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 8, Chapter 1, Section 3, 22)

As a result of the Fall, human beings did not achieve the position of the true “I.” For this reason, God has never been able to use the word “we.” That is to say that God has never been able to stand within the realm of the consciousness of His ideal of creation and establish a relationship that would allow him to say, “This is my creation” or “This is my child.” So our present concept of “I” has no relationship with the original ideal of God’s creation, and it is for this reason that we have to deny ourselves absolutely. God has conducted His restoration providence so that He could establish true men and true women, that is, His sons and daughters, whom He could freely include within His concept of “we.” Because God is the subject partner of love, life and lineage, He sought true sons and daughters who would live eternally with a complete and unbreakable standard. To achieve that, we first have to perfect our individual character through uniting our mind and body and, on that foundation, to build a vertical parent-child relationship with God. A vertical relationship by itself, however, is not sufficient to bring the word “we” into being. We also need to create a horizontal relationship in harmony with the vertical. To do this, man and woman must form a true husband-wife relationship through a Blessed marriage, bear children, build a true family and form a four-position foundation involving three generations. Only then will God use the word “we” with reference to a family unit. (Pyeong Hwa Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 1, 10)

Parents, who stand in the position of God, have to invest themselves completely and absolutely with true love. In terms of the logic of origin-division-union, they give birth and rear children from the position of the origin, thus establishing a vertical axis for the concept of “we.” If the husband and wife, who stand in the position of division from the origin, become one with each other based on true love, they will establish the horizontal axis. Then the children, who are in the position of union, will align themselves automatically with the vertical and horizontal axes and become one; they will establish a new axis reaching from front to back. There will be an original family that accomplishes this, substantiating the concept of “we” that is complete vertically, horizontally and front to back. This is the reason the family is so important; it is the most valuable gift given to us from Heaven. If the environment we call the family did not exist, how would we establish this absolute standard of “I?” If not for the family, we would never even dare to think of a “we” that is complete vertically, horizontally and front to back. How, then, do we establish the true “I?” This is possible only through a life of true love for the sake of others. The person who denies him or herself completely, to the point of selflessness, and lives for the sake of the family, for the sake of the nation, for the sake of all humanity and for the sake of God, will automatically establish the true “I.” We must never put ourselves forward arrogantly and use the word “I” in a casual manner. God has worked, steeped in grief in the back alleys of history, to push forward His providence of restoration. His only desire has been to establish children who could speak of the true “I.” Anyone who knows this heart of God can never claim the word “I” for him or herself in a casual manner. When we establish God’s original ideal for world peace and the ideal families for which God has been waiting for tens of thousands of years, we will have the starting point for the kingdom of heaven on earth. Beginning there, we will be able to resolve the grief of the pitiable God. I would like to call upon everyone here to join me. First, let us work to establish the true “I” that can look at the sun without shame, look at the ocean with a clear conscience, and have nothing to hide before nature. Then let us establish the family to which God will refer as a part of His “we.”  (Pyeong Hwa Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 1, 10)

Becoming a Couple Who Resemble Heavenly Parent

Now, we are going in a different direction: the ideology of protectiveness. You should have the attitude that “I will follow you in whatever you do.” A husband should be able to say, “If my wife is not happy, it is my responsibility.” A wife should be able to say, “If my husband is not happy, it is my responsibility.” What kind of flower will bloom when they try to take responsibility for each other? The flower of love will bloom.
Where can the flowers of love bloom? They will not bloom when you have selfish thoughts. They will bloom when you care for each other enough to make sacrifices. As these flowers bloom, their color and fragrance emerge. Because of this God and the angelic world will come. (1999.9.10)

 What is the most unbearable thing? It is resentment between loved ones. There is nothing harder to bear than that. Since the seed of conflict was sown in Adam’s family, families that quarrel live in the fallen realm, while peaceful, harmonious families dwell in the heavenly realm. They are opposites. Discordant families are at the center of the fallen world. The center of the fallen world is evil. Disharmonious families fight every day. In such families, the father and mother are always in conflict. The husband and wife are in conflict.  (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 5, Chapter 3, Section 1, 16)
A husband should be remembered as even more wonderful than God by his wife. A man should become a husband whom his wife can say, “I could not see God, but I met God through my husband. I did not know what pure love was, but through my husband I understood what pure love is. Through my husband, I understood what my elder brother’s love was like. Through my husband, I understood siblings’ love. My husband is the one who taught me all about love. “
He must also become a man who lives with a deep understanding the bond of love that can induce such feelings of the representative of mothers, brides, and sisters. He must be educated in this way of love to the extent that he feels, “Without this kind of education, I could hardly breathe.” This should become his very lifestyle. In any society, he must have a heart to see every elder as “his own grandfather or grandmother, father or mother, older brother or sister.”
When such a heart becomes universal throughout the world—when that kind of heart within the family becomes widespread, wherever that environment exists, there is no doubt that it is the Kingdom of Heaven. (November 21, 1971)
Nothing is good unless it is in harmony with the essence of God’s love. Love does not focus on its position as a subject partner; rather, it focuses on its object partner. If you focus on yourself, you cannot go the path of love. Suppose you are the leader of a nation; you cannot function in that position if you are all alone; you need to recognize the value of others as your partners. The basic principle underlying the organization of the ideal kingdom of heaven is that within the family, husband and wife openly affirm each other. A man who is not affirmed by his wife can hardly expect to be affirmed in the ideal world. It is a contradiction for a man to seek the world’s public recognition when his wife does not first recognize him. In order for a man to attain world-level recognition with dignity and authority, he should be recognized as the linchpin of his family, without any shortcomings. A family with that kind of man as a head will remain intact and not be divided. Then that family should take the position of subject partner to its tribe and live sacrificially, overcoming challenges for its tribe’s sake. Its purpose should be for the sake of others, not for itself. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 3, Chapter 3, Section 2, 1)
The Blessing is so that we can share blessings with others. Husbands and wives must become mothers and fathers to each other in heart. They should inspire the people of the world to say to them, “We want to make families like yours.” (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 5, Chapter 2, Section 2, 25)
A man must be able to say, “I am the subject partner of perfect love representing men.” A woman must be able to say, “I am the subject partner of perfect love representing women, so you and I absolutely need each other.” What a man absolutely needs on earth, other than God, is a woman. Also, other than God, what a woman absolutely needs is a man. Why is this so? It is so they can receive God’s love. To do this, the man and woman both must stand in the position of true perfection, where even if they could turn back they would not want to, and even if they had a chance to stop loving they would not want to. This is the meaning of attending God. The owner of love is neither man nor woman, but God. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 3, Chapter 1, Section 1, 23)
The earth is where we determine the foundation of God’s ideal. Where on earth? It is in the family, where a man and a woman unite as one in love, centered on God. When we mention the kingdom of heaven, what comes to mind? It should be the place where God, my family and I have reached unity. Even if you went to that kingdom, if God were not there, it would not be the kingdom of heaven. God’s presence is absolutely required. But will God’s presence alone be enough? If you do not have your own ideal partner, even God’s love will have no value to you. Therefore, in the spirit world, those who have lived ideal family lives are the closest to God. On the way of restoration, as we work for the sake of the original world, we should always feel the heart and ideal that God felt at the time of the Creation. Consumed with that feeling, we should risk our lives as we proceed along this path with a heart of gratitude, willing only one thing. From now on, this is the course by which blessed families will realize the purpose of creation. It may cause us suffering, but that is not the intention. God asks us to go this way so we may receive the even more bountiful blessings He has stored up for us. To know this evokes immense gratitude. We couple who were brought together through heart and love are called to build with that love. We are to build a family that goes beyond the realm of daily life. That family should go beyond life itself and be one with God’s purpose. Otherwise we cannot return to God’s dwelling place, the kingdom of heaven. This is the purpose of creation, so we have to move toward making such families. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 3, Chapter 2, Section 3, 13)
A man and a woman are the substantial object partners of God, representing God’s masculine and feminine qualities. God’s act of creation was to divide inner, harmonized qualities of masculinity and femininity into two bodies in the physical world, and then to reunite them through marriage into one body that resembles God’s original oneness. A true husband and a true wife represent God’s binary poles, and both exist to form one harmonious body as the representatives of heaven and earth. In other words, men and women are not created to live in self-centeredness. Each is created to exist for the sake of his or her partner. We have to clearly realize that true husbands and true wives exist for their respective partners. I have already stated that true love cannot be realized alone. It can be achieved only through a reciprocal relationship. True love between a husband and wife is not only for the sake of the couple. It also completes God’s ideal of creation and allows God to be the owner of absolute true love. The absolute true love of God dwells wherever there is a person who desires to unite with his or her spouse as the embodiment of God’s true love. A true couple embraces God’s true love and moves toward the future with one united hope. The conception of children and prosperity of the family take place on this foundation. God’s ultimate hope is that a couple’s true love will move beyond the mundane realm of the daily environment to form a family that is one with the ideal of true love. Attending Together, Learning Together

In heaven we can take satisfaction in what we have prepared and in having led a life of attendance. Then what kind of people can go to heaven? Not those who believed in the Lord in order to receive blessings, that is, those whose main wish was to receive blessings. Heaven is the destination for those who live preparing their hearts to attend God. It is a place where even those who die during their time of preparation can go with joy, for they leave behind a life of attendance. Resurrection takes place there. After preparing to attend, you need to lead a life of attendance. Then how can you lead such a life? Try feeling what is around you; observe your environment. The details of life do not appear easily. How to lead a life of attendance is the crucial question. We should think about this in our everyday life. In the Unification Church we attend God as the object of reverence in our daily lives, and we promote harmony and unity based on God’s love. This was my motivation for founding the Unification Church. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 8, Chapter 1, Section 1, 22)

When you go to church to worship God, you need to wear holy robes. I am not talking about outward clothes, but about the holy robes of the heart. If your heart overflows from within when you hear the sermon and sing the hymns, Heaven will work through you. When the fallen ancestors were expelled from the Garden of Eden, they shed tears of sorrow. In contrast, when you encounter God, you should be able to shed tears of joy with a smile on your face. The world has lost its homeland. How can the world’s people, a global domain of the displaced, return to their homeland? God knows the answer to this question. His providence sends the Messiah to the earth, who is to lead the displaced people to their homeland. After they have returned home, religion and all its customs will be unnecessary. Tearfully embracing your mother and father is the best form of worship, the fulfillment of everything God desires. Even if heaven and earth experience upheaval ten million times, if the unity of three generations — grandparents, parents and children — is as strong as an iron fortress and if they serve God as their core, then wherever they are, they will be the one seed through which the kingdom of heaven can be realized. They themselves will be like that. This can be said to be the origin of the seed of God’s love and the seed of God’s life. We need to find our way to it. Otherwise, there will be no hope for the kingdom of heaven on earth, the heavenly kingdom of peace or the world of happiness and freedom. Unification Church members are expanding the pledge service from the level of Adam’s family to the levels of tribe, people, nation and world. By expanding it so, it becomes a ritual to support the world to become one by attending God. Therefore, all week long you should eagerly await the time to eat the holy food as if it were all you wished for. Offering and sharing the holy food is a time to attend God; it is a time when you can relate directly to God. Therefore, blessed families throughout the world should honor this time and keep it as a tradition. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 11, Chapter 2, Section 1, 22)

Even if you are alone, when you offer a bow to God and True Parents, do not think that you are doing it by yourself. When a man comes to offer a bow, he should think he does it with his wife standing beside him. Likewise, when a woman comes to offer a bow, she should think she is doing it together with her husband. If the man and the woman think this way, it shows they are united as one. It signifies that blessed members should become totally one. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 11, Chapter 2, Section 1, 26)

I established pledge service, and it is truly amazing that all of you are able to have pledge service with me every day. By showing that True Parents honor this ceremony, I want blessed families to respect this ceremony and pass it on as a tradition to their sons and daughters. You must teach your children that pledge service is a crucial time for the family. Through this ceremony we can create bonds of heart, connecting the children with their parents face to face in the family and also connecting them vertically with the True Parents. Altogether these relationships form the four-position foundation and link three generations as one. This is the time when the four-position foundation and the three generations can become one. When we share rice cakes in the presence of True Parents, this act of sharing means that we become one with God in spirit. That is, we become one body with Him. Eating rice cakes together means to influence the parents to become one, the family to become one, relatives to become one, the world to become one and those whose mind and body are divided to become one. Unification Church members should offer pledge service every week. The day to offer pledge service is a holy day, and on a holy day we partake of holy food. The reason we share this precious holy food is to alleviate the bitter sorrow of God, who did not have a chance to experience that in Adam’s family, due to the Fall. Pledge service is conducted in this format, with the heart of offering congratulations and best wishes to God and True Parents, in order to relieve God’s pain. Parents should set an example in leading a life focused on the Will. They have to teach their children the life of prayer, the custom of family worship, and the life of faith. They should also teach them the importance of pledge service. The parents should conduct pledge service and use that time to educate their children about the Will of God. Parents first need to practice what they want to see in their children. They should be a model of loyalty to the Will. Their children should regard them with so much respect that they would not utter a word contrary to what their parents say. If they do not become such models, the children will not follow them. With regard to church life, children will observe their parents and compare their actions with what they understand of the Will and the Principle. If children see that their parents neglect their church duties and do not live according to church guidelines, but expect their children to live in a principled way, they will surely disobey their parents. What should you consider most important in your family? You should hold on tightly to the teachings about the spirit world and about the True Parents on the earth. That is the path through which you can go over the walls in the spirit world and head toward the original, liberated kingdom of heaven. That is why you need to conduct Hoon Dok Hae. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 7, Chapter 4, Section 3, 24)

What kind of invisible heirloom do you hope to leave behind in your lifetime? You must leave behind the heirloom.
You must leave behind such an heirloom in the spirit world. This is a serious matter. It is weighed on a divine scale. That is why we cannot live our lives in ease or complacency. There will be moments of deep sorrow and even speechlessness.
What will happen when the Father goes to the spirit world and is no longer on earth? Only the Word will remain. When you meet me, your emotions are stirred, entangled, and a clear relationship is formed between the subject partner and the object partner. But the Word does not do this automatically. The Word must be embodied. There is no substance. When the owner dies, everything will fall apart. That is why we hold Hoon Dok Hae worldwide.

Why do I emphasize Hoon Dok Hae? It is so that you can feel the true flavor of the Word of God. You need to feel it more than when you face True Father. You may meet me for an hour or two, but you will meet this Word forever. It is only when you feel the depth of it that the Unification Church will be able to dye the whole world in an instant from now on. (March 4, 2000)

Because educating our children is an urgent and important matter, you should begin each day in Hoon Dok Hae with your family. Up until now, you had no time to spend with your children because you were carrying out church work. From now on you should begin your day together in Hoon Dok Hae with your children. Please begin your day this way. We need to educate and nurture our second generation. No matter what your position, you need to think about the generations to come. Loving and Guiding Our Children

Do not continue to live with the habits you inherited from your mother and father. From now on, be serious about teaching your sons and daughters. If you just leave them the way they are, the Blessing you were given will fall to ruin. This is why I cannot help but dispatch you, making you take responsibility as messiahs. Don’t you know you are living in the greatest time in history? The spirit world and physical world, heaven and earth, are watching you. The entire universe is watching you. You are called to become the owners who can lead an era of such amazing love!  (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 1, 20)

Blessed families should know that your mission is truly great. You need to be parents who can influence your sons and daughters. This is your first mission. To do so, you have to be thorough in conducting your church life and public life, and you should be exemplary in your personal life. These are absolutely necessary in training your children to go the way of the providence in the future. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 3, Section 2, 25)
Children follow their father and mother’s example, so please attend and worship God properly in your home. Show your children that their father is a man of prayer. Let them know that their father is serving God and living for the sake of others. Through this, you lay the foundation so that your children unconsciously will come to respect and admire you. What will happen to the child if the parents weep and say, “This is so because of my lack of love. All this is because I did not love you more.” What will happen to the child if you come to him with tears so that his marrow melts and you come to him with greater love? Will he change or not? He will change.
Greater love has the initiative to digest and integrate all the weaker loves. (September 12, 1971)

Parents face many difficulties in raising their beloved children. However, overcoming these difficulties, they raise their children with the hope of tomorrow firmly in their hearts. Even if parents love their country so much that they think their child is more precious than their country, that is not a sin. Even if they love their child more than their country with the hope that he or she will protect their country in the future, it is not a sin.
In other words, it is not a sin if you love your son more than your country in order to raise your child as a future loyal subject instead because you could not be a loyal subject to your country.
However, it is a sin if you love your son more than your country in the hope that he will be filial to you instead of trying to make a future loyal subject. This is how all formulas work. (August 23, 1970)
The members of the Unification Church must be able to uplift their children as they raise them. Just because you are their parents does not give you the right to say, “This child is like this or that.” It should not be that way
It is said that you have hope—but that hope is to be inherited through your children. That hope is passed on through children, through the couple, through the parents—through a certain path it is connected and extended.
If the hope that remains within human beings is the hope established by Heaven, then that hope can only be connected through the path of heavenly ethics. (November 22, 1959)

Why have we shed tears, sweat, and blood with the heart of a parent and the posture of a servant until now? It has been for the sake of the world.
(And yet,) if a person cannot live for their own sons and daughters, it is a lie to claim they are living for the world.
Only those who can genuinely live for the world can become true representatives chosen from the Satanic world. That is why I am working to establish the standard that can become a model and an example for building the Kingdom of Heaven from a position where I can truly understand this.
Then what is that standard? It is the family.
And what is the model by which a nation can be built? That, too, is the family.
Therefore, we must be able to stand in a position where we can sacrifice ourselves for our children centered on love, to pay any price without expecting any reward in return. Rather, we must have a resentment in the inability to keep giving.
When we have such a heart, our children will take that example to heart. They will be grateful for the love and sacrifices of their parents and feel compelled to live in the same way. In doing so, they will seek to take responsibility on behalf of their parents and walk the difficult path in their place.
You must create such an environment for your children.
Otherwise, you will not be able to overcome the standard of resentment of the Fall in the Garden of Eden. (February 25, 1970)

If children hear the words of the Divine Principle when they are teenagers, do not just leave them alone because they have heard and came to know them. Rather, at home, the father and mother should engage in discussions with their sons and daughters as if they were friends.
Once a week or once a month, parents and children should discuss centered on a particular issue related to their life of faith while they ask and answer each other.
In this way, the words heard at home during the teenage years will not end there but will be applied to the living environment when they enter their twenties. You must take care of them and prepare the foothold for them to do so.
However, you have not been able to do this. It is not enough to simply come to church. It must be universalized within the family as well. By neglecting this, you have brought about such results. You come to church and talk about this and that, but you do not talk about this and that within your family.
Our families should be a model for other families, but who should create motivation that can give that kind of stimulus? Sons and daughters cannot create it. Parents must create it. (June 4, 1970)
You have to be true mothers and fathers who, even while racing ahead, can say to your children: “If I die now, you must take this baton and keep running. I am going this way of suffering to save the world. I must do this in order to enable a new world to emerge. That is the hope of God, the hope of True Parents, and the hope of your father and mother. And that must be your hope too. I believe this unchanging hope will allow everyone to find happiness; that is why I am going this way.” At the moment of your death, you should be able to say this to your children and ask them to commit to carrying on your work. Parents in the family must become representatives of God. While educating their children, parents must say, “My beloved sons and daughters, you must love your brothers and sisters even more than you love me. You must love your neighbors, your community, your nation, and the world.”
Only those who educate their children in this way can qualify as true parents among parents. Why is this so? Because only then can your sons, your daughters and your families develop as centers of greater goodness. (November 11, 1977)

What is the final blessing that true humanity should pursue in terms of spiritual standards? The final blessing is none other than that. What is the wish of sons and daughters who are in the position of orphans who lost their parents early in life? It is not money. It is not food. Their only wish is for their dead father and mother to come back to life.
In the same way, if we are going to give a gift to mankind, we are really giving them the greatest gift of all. If we are to introduce something to them, let it be what is true. If we are to show them something, let it be what is right. If we are to teach them, let it be something without error
If we teach them, what should we teach them? It is not to teach them how to make money. It is not to teach them how to study and get ahead in life.
We are trying to teach them True Parents perfectly, which is the desire of all humankind in this age today and the principle of true children who are united with True Parents. Nothing is more valuable than that. (October 18, 1969)

Realization of the Family Kingdom of Heaven

If human beings had not fallen, they would have become the perfected true children of God, with God as their Parent and His true love at the center of their lives. Perfected human beings were to form the bond of true husband and wife surrounded by God’s love, give birth to and raise true children. Together they were to establish the kingdom of heaven on earth and live together there, and then with their entire family they would one day live in the kingdom of heaven in heaven. If your father went to hell and your mother went to heaven, how could she feel it was the kingdom of heaven? If the parents went to hell and only the children entered heaven, how could anyone call that the kingdom of heaven? The kingdom of heaven is a place where the family enters together and lives in an eternal realm of peace. Accordingly, God can settle His ideal of creation only where heaven has been made real in a family on earth. This is where God longs to dwell. The realization of a family kingdom of heaven will surely lead to the establishment of the kingdom of heaven on earth. Thus, Unification Church families need to realize the family kingdom of heaven. To experience it, you absolutely need a partner. Only through the stimulation you receive in your family and with your partner can you experience the ideal of the future heavenly kingdom in your daily life. Husband and wife need each other to learn this lesson and receive the stimulation that allows them to live eternally. Progress cannot come about without stimulation. Conjugal love provides the stimulation required to build the ideal kingdom of heaven. In other words, conjugal love pulls future joy into the realm of the present, provides stimulation, and supplies the driving force to bring the couple to that kingdom. Because that love contains love for the nation, love for the world and love for God, it can move freely and universally. How will the kingdom of heaven in the family come about? If the mother and father are united completely in love, the sons will want to have wives like their mother, and the daughters will want to have husbands like their father. With the mother and father as a plus and the sons and daughters as a minus, they will unite as one perfect family; that is the kingdom of heaven of the family. At the place where this kingdom is realized, God’s ideal can settle in the four-position foundation. The Principle states that the perfection of the ideal of creation is the perfection of the four-position foundation. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 5, Chapter 4, Section 6, 31)

When True Parents and their sons and daughters are united as one, that family will have established the four-position foundation. Completion of the four-position foundation means that God will be able to realize the ideal of creation that He has desired for six thousand years. Once that foundation is established, there will be a realm where God recognizes those who have fulfilled it and promises to make them citizens of the kingdom of heaven and members of the family of that kingdom. What the Unification Church focuses on the most is the Blessing. The Blessing is for the family. What is the kingdom of heaven like? It is the family in heaven. We need to realize such a family; that is the kingdom of heaven. Thus, those who are unable to create that kingdom in their own family cannot enter the kingdom of heaven in heaven. Ladies and gentlemen, is this not true? Everyone has the desire to become the best in the world. Since we can become beings of such value, we human beings can stand in the position of glory, where what belongs to God, the center of all things in the world, also belongs to us. In this regard, the realization of heaven in the family, heaven in the nation and heaven in the world become possible only through living for the sake of others. Not only that, but we will also connect to the world where God can be happy together with humankind. This will be the world that can be called the ideal garden, wherein everyone can dance and sing. Such a place is the heaven that religions pursue, and it is this heaven that will be realized on earth. Thus, we can conclude that such a place is the kingdom of heaven on earth. The individual sacrifices for the family. In a family, the mother makes sacrifices for her husband and children, and the children in return offer devotion to their parents and love their siblings. A family that is united in this way is a happy family. A family where the members strive to serve one another, giving fully of themselves, will experience God in their midst. The family that can embrace God will eternally remain an ideal family. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 5, Chapter 1, Section 4, 14)

Living for others is a fundamental law of the universe. It is from this point that true love begins. All beings exist for other beings. A truly dutiful son or daughter lives for his or her parents. The love of true parents, the filial piety of true children, and the love between a true husband and wife all begin with living for the other. If we extend this principle, we can conclude that true people live for the sake of the nation, and a true ruler lives for the sake of his or her people. We can all find true happiness if we live according to this principle. Since this is the law governing all beings in the universe, when true human beings that have lived for others enter the kingdom of heaven, or paradise, the world where God lives, they will find that same rule of living for others applies there. This is the reason all religions teach service and self-sacrifice, and that genuine love is to live for the sake of others. A person who lives for others naturally arrives at the central position and commands respect. For example, if the youngest son in a family generously gives of himself to the other family members, he naturally becomes the focus of their love and captures their affection and admiration. Living for others does not stop with the individual. If the family lives for others, it can establish the family heaven. If we extend this principle to the nation, we can realize the national level heaven. On the world level, when the whole of humankind lives for others, then we can realize the ideal world of harmony and happiness. In this way we can bring about heaven on earth. The kingdom of heaven that God desires is not established only in the spirit world. The kingdom of heaven God desires is established first on earth, and then in the spirit world. The spirit world is populated by the spirits of people who have passed on. That world and this earthly world cannot remain separated. To possess a victorious substantial self and to embody heaven’s ideology, you need to uphold both heavenly ethics and human ethics. You need to live the ideology of the kingdom of heaven in your daily life. Then you will be in accord with both heavenly and human ethics. That should be the ideology of the kingdom of heaven for individuals and, at the same time, for the family, society, nation, world and cosmos. Your very being should manifest the ideology of the kingdom of heaven. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 7, Chapter 1, Section 4, 21)

The sinful era of restoration through indemnity, the Era before the Coming of Heaven, has passed. The era of heavenly law is upon us, the Era after the Coming of Heaven. You are now living in an era of grace in which — after receiving the marriage Blessing from True Parents, completing the conversion of lineage, and leading a life that is vertically aligned with Heaven, such that no shadow is cast — you can enter the kingdom of heaven automatically. That is to say, if you establish a true family on earth and lead a heavenly life, your life will be connected to the kingdom of God in heaven when you die, and you will enjoy eternal life. Therefore, within the framework of the family, you should serve God as your Father, revering Him in the highest position. Every one of you should become God’s child perfecting the parent-child relationship and sharing your life with Him, connected by blood. In short, you should form a partnership of true love with God and live together with Him. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 13, Chapter 2, Section 1, 21)

Chapter 2 From Home Church to Heavenly Tribal Messiah
The Unified Tribe Centered on True Parents

Blessed families have responsibilities to fulfill from the very day of their Blessing. The responsibility is not to form a family, but to form a nation together. All the blessed families in unity should organize the new tribes centering on the new perspective of the world. In order to form a new nation, a new tribe first should be organized. The tribe should not be in disunity, but should be one unified tribe.

So the purpose of all the blessed families should be the same. Because there are few chosen families established in the satanic world, they are always in the position to be attracted by Satan. That’s why they should always be internally strong enough to overcome the external pressure from the satanic environment. In order to surpass the external power of the environment, complete unity within the blessed families is vital. If they can become completely one, they will be able to overcome any satanic invasions. From such a concentrated substantial body, a new tribe which is free from Satan’s invasion can be formed. Isn’t it right that a new nation will come into being through the unity of such tribes? If you receive the Blessing of the Unification Church, your domain will expand because, with God as your focus, you will begin forming a family of the new mainstream. Therefore families that receive the Blessing in the Unification Church consider other such families to be members of their own tribe. After connecting to new parents, known as the True Parents, families that have inherited the innermost heart of the heavenly principles emerge and multiply horizontally. What this means is that within the Unification movement a tribe is being formed that will later expand to become a people and eventually a nation. Through True Parents we have become ancestors who engender a new bloodline, and a blessed tribe through whom the realm of liberation can unfold. Our tribe will be of God’s eternal and unchanging family and lineage. When this happens, we will bid Satan farewell forever. This is why we in the Unification Church honor our ancestors. Does Christianity allow memorial services for ancestors? The Unification Church has such a tradition. It is not a secular tradition. The realm of the tribal messiah that connects the succeeding generations by serving the Heavenly Parent, the heavenly kingdom and the heavenly ancestors, becomes the royal domain in which we can attend our ancestors for thousands of years. It will become the nation where we can attend the king in the eternal reign of peace. Only after having lived in such a nation can your parents, family and clan go directly to heaven. When you put up the Unification Church flag, it is a signal to members passing by that they can enter your house and rest if they are tired or have lunch if they are hungry before they go on. Therefore, you should always be prepared to receive guests. You should make such preparations on behalf of True Parents. You could keep one room for this purpose. You are saved by attending the Parents. However, since the Parents do not come in person, you should attend your guests as if they were the Parents. This practice represents the ideal of equalization of the highest heavenly standard. For this reason, attend your guests as if they were God or True Parents. Both you and them will surely be blessed. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 3, 12)

Unification Church members live together with True Parents and with God. They are born again through the love of True Parents. That connection of love is eternal and cannot be severed. You can never forget their love, even on the day you die. When parents die, they take their heart of love for their sons and daughters with them. It is the same with husbands and wives. When we die, we do not forget those we love. Love goes beyond death and is connected to eternity. This is why you men and women who have inherited the realm of life through True Parents’ love cannot forget the True Parents, who are the root of love. If they are the root and you are the trunk, your sons and daughters are the buds. When they grow in number, they will expand to form a tribe, a people and a nation. Unification Church members constitute a tribe. My blood is flowing within each of them. Thus all tribal members should be able to cry when I cry and rejoice with me when I rejoice. We are kin, bound by blood. We are unified people. We go over the barriers of color separating the five races and the differing cultural backgrounds separating various national standards, to create and build the new heavenly kingdom. The heavenly kingdom will manifest when we as a people become divine. The world will open up when we live as a people of the divine nation. The cosmic kingdom of heaven on earth and in heaven will come down upon that world. Just talking about it will not make it happen. The individual has to make the final decision and then proclaim it in heaven and on earth. It must be proclaimed again centering on the family and again centering on the tribe. The Original Standard of the Trinity

The value of the Blessing can be recognized only when you fulfill your responsibility. Therefore your blessed members should not speak offensively, in the worldly way. There should be something different about you. The family is a small church. Hence your family should be, as the agency of God, a family that God would like to visit. At least three families must totally unite as one family. What I would like to say in particular is, first, that your family should be one that many people visit. Harmony among people is most important. Second, Heaven’s families should build solidarity with one another. At the very least the families in your Blessing trinity should be completely united with one another.  (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 11, Chapter 4, Section 1, 10)

Only when we can feel the value of the trinity which God has united can we feel God’s philosophy. Only when we can feel the value of the trinity, can we live God’s life on earth instead.
The purpose of organizing the trinity is to achieve unity of action, unity of life, and then unity of philosophy. That is why we are creating the trinity organization. Unification of Life, Unification of Action, and Unification of Philosophy. Action with philosophy is organized and principled. (August 17, 1986)

In order to welcome True Parents, you must become a true couple and create a true family, and only then will you be able to welcome True Parents on that basis.
You believe in and follow the True Parents. You must also become someone whom others can believe in and follow just as much as you believe in and follow them. In doing so, you must embody the model of the family that Jesus longed to find. At such a time, all people become brothers and sisters. It is for this very purpose that the trinity was established.
Therefore, from now on, when you do something, you must not do it alone. Even if you witness, you must not do it alone. When you have established such trinity and stand in the position of parents, you must not let your brothers and sisters do things together, but you must do them together with them as one. Only when parents and siblings are united can the family be established.
And if you want to have a national type of family, you must have 12 such families. Only when there are more than ten can you take on the ethnic condition instead. (January 4, 1959)

You cannot walk the path of faith alone. You need comrades in faith. Three people or more should unite. That’s why you need a trinity. God, who is the subject partner of the human character, also desires the standard of three. When we make mistakes, God cannot directly educate us vertically as individuals. But when three people are united, if one person makes a mistake but the other two do not, God can point out that one person’s mistake. The same goes for prayer in the mountains; you can receive God’s grace faster if three or more people are praying together. After prayer, you should discuss matters among yourselves. But if you discuss with people outside your trinity, Satan can invade. If three people can truly come to lean on each other, people around them will see those beautiful relationships and wish they too could have such relationships. When this happens, God’s Will can multiply naturally. If three people are united, then even if God does not help you, a new bud will sprout. When you relate with members, be careful not to hurt them and not to say things that will hinder their life of faith. (1967.5.17)

You must be able to discern who your enemies are in each present position. And then, you must check whether your position is in day or night. In other words, you must know if you are in the position with grace or not.
Even if you move forward, you must do so after making a stage where God can support and work with you. You must go forward not alone but with comrades. For that, you must know if the environment you are in is day or night. If not, you are not able to hold your own. You need comrades. Therefore, there is the law of a trinity in the Words. You must make a trinity and move forward together. God doesn’t prefer to move forward alone because you are likely to fail when you go forward by yourself. You must move forward conducting a joint operation. (January 1, 1968)

Where are we standing now? We have not yet entered the position of the family True Parents. We must gain this position, but it cannot be done without cost. Why? Since the fall occurred, to rise again, the bridge of brotherhood must be constructed. Even if we must sacrifice all that we have, we should set up the standard of having indemnified the historical condition of resolving grudges to find the True Parents and to become true parents ourselves. Otherwise, Heaven cannot tolerate you.
What then is your task? Since you must serve the Parents, you should prepare the foundation of brotherhood. This is the meaning of the trinities. Only when the brothers and sisters of a trinity prepare the center to serve the heavenly parents, and the three and twelve brothers become one can they receive the qualification to be a heavenly family. This family should extend beyond the parents. It should assume the form of representing the church, the nation and the country. On this basis, it should prepare the standard for serving the Parents.
After this, it must assume the form of the church and prepare to serve the worldwide Parents. (1959.1.4)

Originally, a trinity must live together for more than 3 years. Even when living with one another’s children, those in a trinity must be able to feel as if they are their own. If you think it troublesome, you are not yet qualified. Even if the husband of one family dies, there should be no need to worry about their life. In such a case, the remaining two families must take responsibility.
How far away are we from the Word? When you establish a standard by which Satan can acknowledge that you love Cain as much as Abel, he leaves.
When you raise children in a trinity family, you must do so like real children or with a threefold heart of sincerity. If a trinity doesn’t become one, we can’t unify the world. Three countries must become one. We must love the world more than Jesus.
A trinity is one sibling. When these three become one, they can take the place of the Parents. If you forget a trinity and live a life centered on your family, you will perish. You must stand in the position of the Parents not only in name, but in both responsibility and heart. (November 20, 1968)
It is set up so that a family enters heaven. From now on, three families must become one centered on the four position foundation and the True Parents. They must become one so that they can be united centered on all the heavenly law the Parents teaches.
If a Black couple, a White couple and a yellow couple form a trinity of faith, they must undergo training for three years to become one. They cannot live individual lives. And then, if 12 or 36 families around the trinity make a regional community, the families that received official recognition as a whole stand in the position of freedom and liberation. The Beginning of the Home Church Providence

What the Unification Church must accomplish is Home Church. The destination of the providence of restoration is Home Church. It is a tremendous success that we were able to proclaim the Home Church movement in the 25th year since the founding of the church in 1954. It is a victory that all of heaven and earth will celebrate.
True Parents have gone through suffering to establish this. Jesus died to bring this about. And God has carried out His providence for 6,000 years to realize this purpose.
Only when this is accomplished can the Kingdom of Heaven expand. It is at this point that the gates of Heaven will open. That is why Jesus left the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven on earth through Peter. (May 1, 1979)

Home church is the foundation that represents the world with which the True Parents have integrated and encapsulated all tribal, ethnic, and national standards through their global victory.
It is the foundation of encapsulated world sovereignty, the foundation of encapsulated world humanity, and the foundation of encapsulated nations. Therefore, if victory is achieved here, it will not only connect the realm of Cain-type families but extend to the ethnic, national, and global levels as well. Even when you return to your hometown, it will become the Abel realm and a victorious realm that connects all the way to the world.
From now on, home church will be the goal that each of you must accomplish over the next three years.
The reason True Parents have come to visit Japan this time is to establish such a system. True Parents have the mission to clearly teach this, and you have the mission to clearly understand it.
Centering on the foundation of 360 homes, we must expand toward the restoration of tribes and the restoration of peoples. (September 22,1978)

Without Home Church, the Kingdom of Heaven cannot be realized.
Without Home Church, nothing can be accomplished. Home Church is the very base of the Kingdom of Heaven.
What kind of place is the Kingdom of Heaven? It is a place of rest, a place where happiness and love dwell and a place of peace.
But then, when I rest, are you the only one who rests? Of course, I must be there—but so must the parents, the children, the family, the tribe, and the people.
The whole world is included. No matter how much you personally want to rest, if your parents, your wife, or your children cannot rest, you cannot rest.
You say that you are “attending True Parents,” but if True Parents are in a position where they cannot rest, then all the people under them cannot rest either. (January 1, 1980)

Why do we need home church? Because fallen parents came into being. In order to restore this position, Jesus came to the earth. He had to go through a certain process; he needed to restore the Abel family of Zechariah and the Cain family of Joseph, uniting them. Because this was left undone, we must go, in our time, to the home church mission and restore those positions. Who crucified Jesus? Fallen men, men of faithlessness. Therefore, until you have paid back that debt, you cannot be restored.
There are many steps beyond just home church. After that, there is the clan church, the tribe church, the nation church, the world church. You have to pass through all these levels. (1982.1.1)
The motto for 1982 was “Victory of Home Church,” but did you win? In 1981, the motto was “Home Church is My Kingdom of Heaven,” but how much did you love your kingdom of heaven? In 1980, the motto was “Home Church is the Base of the Kingdom of Heaven,” but how much did you think about it? Also, in 1979, it was “The Completion of the Kingdom of Heaven through Home Church.” How much effort did you make for the Completion of the Kingdom of Heaven?
I gave the order to mobilize all Blessed Families in Korea. I will also mobilize the Blessed Families in Japan and even the Blessed Families in America.
If you cannot participate in this, you will have to continue going around like wandering people forever. You will not be able to settle down. Even if you go to the spirit world, you will not be able to visit the True Parents. Just as Christianity gave rise to a personal paradise, now a family-level paradise is being formed.
In that family paradise, your wife may accuse you, your son or daughter may accuse you. It will not be Satan who accuses you. It will be your own wife or husband, your own son or daughter. You must realize just how tragic that would be. (January 1, 1983)

The Significance of the Home Church Providence

If there is one day God will remember, it will be the day we are born anew to live eternally as His friends and His sons and daughters, and are able to receive His love. This will be the day we can participate in the ideal world of love, and it is the day God will remember as His best day. The Unification Church places importance on the matter of love, because human beings have to create the gateway of love through which they can go to the spirit world after living on earth with a physical body. We place great importance on the family. We need that kind of family. We should seek the ideal family, and that ideal is the fulfillment of God’s Will. It is a human being’s greatest purpose. Therefore we must go forward on this path. God has desired to see the coming of this age. He has been leading the providence through religion in order to bind together all men and women as His sons and daughters in the same place and at the same time. Home Church was established in order to combine all the previous works of God’s providence and erect the foundation for ideal families. Home Church symbolizes Adam’s family in the original garden of Eden, a family that did not fall but became one in total love, with God as the center. When Home Church starts this way and develops into a tribal-level Home Church and then a national-level Home Church, it can lead to one unified world having the ideal form of a global family. I teach this based on the Principle viewpoint. You ought to understand the importance of what the Unification Church has done in presenting Home Church and establishing it before God, humanity and the entire cosmos. It is the very path that Adam and Eve would have taken had they not fallen at the outset, but had instead centered on God throughout their lives, lived on earth in the midst of His love, given birth to sons and daughters and then entered the spirit world. It is also the path their children and their children’s children would have followed. Adam and Eve and their entire lineage with all their descendants would have naturally entered the kingdom of heaven. Until now, you may have thought that Home Church is just an institution of the Unification Church, but that is not so. Home Church in the Unification Church is your personal heavenly kingdom. It is your kingdom, not anyone else’s, but yours. After Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven, where did he go? He went on the way of the cross. The keys to the kingdom of heaven are the Home Church movement.  (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 1, Section 1, 2)

Home Church is an encapsulated version of the cosmos and an encapsulated version of the world. It includes England, the United States, the Soviet Union, and the spirit world. Everything is included. Also, the Old Testament Age, New Testament Age and Completed Testament Age are all in there. People without religion, conscientious people and religious people are all included. then Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, and all other religions are in there.
Home Church is a representative symbol of the entire cosmos, and it is its microcosm.
Who made it this way? It did not happen naturally. The Parents encapsulated all the essence of Satan’s world.
Therefore, living for the sake of others becomes a condition for having lived for the sake of the family, tribe, people, nation, world and cosmos. Being sacrificed and offering service there can be counted as having offered your life in sacrifice and service for the sake of the whole world. Your couple must go through this course. (July 3, 1982)

Your family must complete its responsibility. By doing your five percent, you will complete the responsibility of one hundred percent. By fulfilling the five percent human portion of responsibility, you will fulfill all the responsibility that God requires. By doing Home Church, you will be reckoned as having completed what I have been doing my whole life. That is your responsibility. You must be grateful for the fact that I indemnified the portions of responsibility for the nation, the world and even the cosmos, and then gave you the blessing to be able to inherit and stand on that indemnity by paying indemnity on the family level. To repeat, I myself mobilized the nation, world and even the spirit world in order to finish all the restoration through indemnity. Thus if you just complete restoration through indemnity at the family level, I will bequeath all that to you. Only the five percent family responsibility remains. Where do we go to recover the family? In the providence of restoration, by making indemnity conditions in the tribal realm, we can move toward the restoration of the family. I have set indemnity conditions on the levels of a people, nation and world. This being so, what do you need to recover? Each of you needs to go to the realm of your tribe. You need to go to the realm where Jesus tried to work but was unable to. In your tribal-level realm, you pursue Home Church activities. Even if you are opposed and called names, you need to love the people with tears. Then you go to your family. The purpose of Home Church activity is to train you to love more. You need 360 homes to endorse you as a son or daughter of God. Then when you return to your family, in order to restore your clan, you need to love your family members hundreds of times more than you loved your Home Church. The leaders of Home Church must be those who can teach like God and love like God. If a church can love from the position of a parent, and if individuals, citizens, and all humankind become such people, then God will be able to dwell anywhere on earth, and it will become the Kingdom of Heaven.
The first is education, and the second is love. Therefore, you must sacrifice. When this happens, God cannot leave that place. You will have no choice but to attend God as your Parent, to learn from God as your Teacher, and to live together with God.
To establish and teach such a philosophy, there must be Abel-type people on Heaven’s side.
And among these Abels, there must be a king. There must be champions of the individual, family, tribe, people, nation, and world.
For the first time since the beginning of history, in God’s providence centering on heaven and earth, there must be a champion representing the whole. (January 1, 1979)

What the Unification Church has always emphasized is the need to inherit the tradition. We must inherit the tradition of heart in God’s providence of restoration.
Next, you must inherit the entire heart that True Parents have walked in order to establish that tradition throughout their lives.
The one foundation through which this can be inherited is Home Church, and the movement to realize this is the Home Church movement. Without Home Church, you will not be able to follow True Parents when you go to heaven.
When the number of home churches reaches 240,000 worldwide, they will be placed for all mankind. When that happens, the church will completely disappear. (October 18, 1981)

I am giving Unification Church members the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Am I going to the cross to die? No. I am going to a higher place, with hope. Jesus left the earth and did not return for two thousand years. After I die, I shall be able to come and go any time as freely as I want. When I return, I will not go to the Unification Church but to your Home Church. Home Church is the place where God can reside, where your parents can reside, where your sons and daughters can reside and where your relatives can reside. The Meaning of the 360 Home Churches

What members of the Unification Church must do is carry out Home Church activities of 360 homes. In any case, you cannot set up indemnity conditions that go beyond the individual level to reach the levels of the family, tribe, people, nation, world, and cosmos. Therefore, the Parents designated Home Church as an encapsulated stage through which you can pay global indemnity.
Home Church serves as a model that represents the whole, and it becomes a decisive condition before both Satan and God. For that reason, no matter how well you may do in all other things, if you do not carry out Home Church activities, you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
the Kingdom of Heaven is an environment where Satan cannot accuse—a realm that is free from Satan’s accusations. Therefore, the Home Church aims to create such a heavenly environment.
Then, why did Adam fall? It is because he did not have a heavenly environment. Once the tribal realm is established, the family kingdom of heaven will naturally come to exist.
Originally, God’s ideal is the realization of the family kingdom of heaven. Within the tribal realm, the family kingdom of heaven is naturally formed. At the same time, the victorious realm of the heavenly environment can be secured.
If you join the Unification Church but do not engage in Home Church activities, you cannot truly attend True Parents, nor can you connect to Heaven. (January 1, 1981)

Why do we carry out Home Church activities of 360 homes? The number 36 is three times the number of twelve. The number twelve is the degree of the heavenly law. This means the Twelve Pearl Gates of the spirit world. It is the same as the number of the 36 homes. Home Church can connect the three levels of fortune of the Old Testament Age, the New Testament Age and the Completed Testament Age. It came out to teach the heavenly way.
One day of 360 days is a day that represents eternity. Therefore, when you visit Home Church each day with such a perspective, you are setting many days of the historical era as a victorious day before God.
The 360 families are to make up for mankind’s failure to build the Kingdom of Heaven and to set up the Day of Victory. 
In other words, restoring 360 families is a way to dedicate 360 days before God, and through this, allow humankind to jointly partake in the heavenly kingdom. This is why the foundation of 360 families is essential. (October 28, 1979)

Adam and Eve banished God from the earth through the Fall.  But through the foundation of 360 families, you can bring God back to dwell among them.
Next, the 360 families will be the foundation for the manifestation of the angelic world on earth, which Adam and Eve expelled through the Fall.
Furthermore, through the Fall, all things were lost. The 360 families are the same as the earth, and they are symbolic of the lost cosmos, so all things are contained within them.
Next, we have lost people in the world. The 360 families represent the 360 tribes of the world symbolically, so there are people representing all of humanity. We must resurrect all of that.
By resurrecting them and returning them to God, you will restore everything that our fallen ancestors failed throughout history. With the manifestation of God and the angelic world, all things will be restored, humankind will be restored, and this world will become the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. (October 14, 1978)

Practical Guidance for Loving the 360 Home Churches

Serve all of them. Make the external heavenly Kingdom on earth in your 360 houses. First of all, you must make the heavenly Kingdom in the external environment. It is the second to make the internal heavenly Kingdom there. Sow the seed in the garden in spring and make them blossom for example. If you see something broken, repair it with a plier and a hammer. If it takes half an hour for an expert, you may do it in three hours. Serve so as to make the external heavenly Kingdom in your area. Cut hedges and pull out the weeds. Everybody welcomes these kinds of services very much. So long as you live there you have to serve as the environment is not enough good. It does not matter whether you have a skill of gardening or not. Say, I feel pity to see such a miserable garden that I want to help your gardening. Allow me to do –… so.” Then, he will say to you,” Thank you very much, do it!” Or if you see the spider’s web inside a house, visit the house once a week to clean it entirely. Do it by yourself alone. (1978.9.23)

Even if you visit 360 homes, at first you might be spat on with words like, “You Unification Church people—get out of here!” You’ll face all kinds of rejection. However, you must persevere in silence. Once you overcome one hill, another hill of indemnity will appear before you. You must endure and wait.
Individuals will oppose you; youth will oppose you; the neighborhood leader will oppose you, even the mayor will oppose you—everyone will stand against you. That is why, with prayer, you must subjugate the spiritual Satan. Then, he will surely surrender substantially as well. That kind of phenomenon will surely occur. You will be taught everything about what will happen.
Without going through this process, you will never discover the path to pioneering the spirit world. If you don’t become the person who can appreciate it, you will never gain the experience to confidently say, “God truly exists.” But if you reach the pinnacle of fulfilling that condition, you will surely receive praise for a job well done. (September 22,1978)

If you organize your guests into small groups to make your area heavenly Kingdom, each group come to compete with each other. You can then ask them to go on a cleaning campaign throughout the town. You can also raise a movement to make flower gardens in your area. They will respond to you well saying that it is a good idea. You can ask their participation by telephone soon. With just a single phone call, anything becomes possible.  Relatives, acquaintances, everyone is in a fellowship and can do anything.  Because everything is already communicated and understood over the phone, it doesn’t feel rude to ask for help. Instead, it creates a sense of legitimacy and mutual support in the environment. (September 23, 1978)
To gain victory in the Unification Church’s home church mission, should you go to places that are pleasing to the eye—or to places that your eyes want to avoid? Should you seek out places with sweet fragrances—or those with unpleasant smells? Should you go to disco and dance halls—or to places where people are working?
You need to go down into the basements and clean while sweating. You need to scrub the toilets, too. There are many other things we can do. As you carry out this kind of work, the day will come when someone says, “You’ve done such a good job—please come up from there,” and you will be lifted up.
If you do good deeds, rumors gradually spread throughout the neighborhood. People will come, and they will begin to take you to the best places. Even if you say you don’t want to go, they’ll lift your feet off the ground and raise you up—literally carrying you, with them leading the way.
For some people, this happens in the first year. For others, it takes two, three, four, five, or six years—and for some, it only happens in the seventh year. You need to understand that this difference comes from the varying amounts of indemnity inherited from each person’s ancestors. Each person has a different indemnity period to fulfill. What matters most is to achieve victory in Home Church.  You must go to Home Church area and serve—even down to scrubbing the bottoms of trash cans. Even if people complain or criticize, you must remain silent and continue to serve.
Why must we go to such lengths?  It is for your own perfection.
Rather than saving others, you are saved through the indemnity conditions you fulfill. In that sense, Home Church is for the sake of you.
You may think you’re doing good for the people there, but in truth, they are the ones doing good for you. It is not they who are perfected—it is you. And when they sign your record, it means you have passed the trial of Home Church.
So then, who is Home Church really for? Ultimately, it is not for the sake of me—it is for your own sake. When your body doesn’t want to go, you must shout at it— “Hey, get moving!”—and push it into action. Who will kick your body for you? No one will. You must be the one to kick yourself into motion. (January 1, 1982)

Home Church is a sacred altar where you offer yourselves as living sacrifices to God. It will become a cosmic altar. If you offer a sacrifice there with the right heart, you are offering up the entire world, inheriting all of heaven in the process. This is the standard of Home Church and the trial of your portion of responsibility.
The 360 homes in your Home Church area are a platform for the practice of love. They are the place for service, for worship, for prayer. You should earn money to treat the people with meals, care for their needs, teach them, and help awaken them from darkness into light. 
In the end, you will be recognized as the messiah of that area. You are the tribal messiah, sent for the sake of your Home Church. (October 4, 1979)

Attitude for Loving the Local Area

What you are meant to do in your Home Church is to serve. You must serve physically, spiritually, and with love.
It is recreation. You recreate. And the standard for welcoming you will change depending on how much blood, sweat, and time you have put in there. (January 21, 1979)

It is not for going to heaven yourself but sending others to heaven. It is not for receiving the blessing. If that is your mindset, you’re missing the point. Therefore, it must be sacrifice, service, and true love.
The traditional idea of doing Home Church is sacrifice, service, and true love. There is no “my country” or “your country” in this realm. Only if you are welcomed here will the whole of heaven and earth welcome you. (February 28,1982)

In your Home Church area, you need to teach by example. I am telling you that when you become a good example, you demonstrate everything by your example. Home Church activities establish God’s sovereignty and create His citizens and His territory. Hence you should become a person who can bring results based on love. You ought to win over others by teaching, demonstrating and loving. If you do not have the ability to teach, it will not work. Moreover, you need to take action. Yet to become a person who can really bring results, you need to do everything with love. Then you can become a person under God’s care. To become a true leader, you need to formulate both internal and external strategies for your mission field. Employing those strategies, you should digest the difficulties of your mission field with the heart of a true parent. To devise your strategies, you need to collect various types of materials and study them, and to succeed in your mission field you should make greater effort, sleeping less than others. What determines whether a community will be drawn to you or not is the amount of encouragement you give the people and the positive conditions you make for them. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 3, Section 2, 32)

Through the victorious foundation of Cain and Abel’s unity, the Parents can appear on the earth. Once they are here, for the first time, we can receive blessings and heaven can start anew. We go to heaven not on our own, but by attending the Parents. We can say that the Parents have already appeared in the Unification Church, but the world-level Cain-Abel indemnity conditions are not complete, and the foundation of the blessed couples is not secure. As an Abel-side family representative, you have to be victorious and receive Heaven’s blessing. The neighbors should bow down in tears and say, “Even if the world is destroyed, your family should be blessed.” You can only stand in the eldest son position if your community bows down to you and reveres your family. Those who worship God need to shed their blood. Those who love God must shed tears. In fact, tears should not dry from their eyes. Those who seek God must shed sweat. Then, with the heart of a parent and in the shoes of a servant, they must sacrifice and serve humanity from the position of Abel, giving everything they have with utmost devotion. In giving, they should not boast to others but rather feel sorry that they cannot give something better. This is what Godism is all about. Will you go to home church out of duty, or with enthusiasm and the love of God? Listen to the bell of love in your own heart. Your mouth won’t obey if you want to talk of anything apart from sounding that bell of love; your eyes and ears won’t want to have anything to do with it either. If that is the case then you are not far from the ultimate breakthrough to the spirit world and heart of God and you will always be sure of your course and destination. You are carrying the prescription that can solve all the problems and bring comfort and happiness for each of your 360 homes. If you are living in that heart that even if you don’t intend to speak your mouth will automatically open and convey that love. (1979.1.28)

I don’t want you to do home church just out of’ duty but because of an urge that you cannot resist. If your beloved parent or child were in jail, you wouldn’t go to see him out of duty. The people in your home church area are like prisoners in jail, and as God’s representative you go there with parental heart. You will never lose by doing that but will inherit the love of God. The more you do as a channel of God’s love, the more you will inherit. (1979.1.28)

Prayer is for other people. It is not for yourself.  Prayers for yourself will never work.  You must pray with a heart to solve the problems of the church, your community, and the world. And if you have prayed, then you must act.
If you prayed for the village, then you must invest yourself for the sake of that village. What are you going to do just by praying? You must act. You must take action in proportion to the amount you pray. (November 21, 1994)
Without Home Church, you can’t go to your hometown. Without going to your hometown, you can’t reach your nation. And without reaching your nation, you can’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If you create your Home Church, your hometown, your homeland, the world, and the Kingdom of Heaven will be created.
We must love them more than anyone else and become one with them. We must unite people in the spirit world, people around the world, and all beings. We must bring everything into unity through love. When this happens, something like a little sun or a little star will rise, centered on Home Church. (January 14, 1979)

One appears, then another, and in the dark world, the gates of shining Kingdom of Heaven will be opened. God, like the rising sun, can finally come to earth.
We Unification Family must not remain in our current position. We must develop and give birth to descendants who can embrace and ensure the fortune of the nation and world. We marry in order to find people who can help form a new people and a new nation.
Until now, people in the world have thought of getting married for themselves, but in the Unification Church, we marry for the sake of the people and the world. Our families are meant to be messiah families that can save countless families in the course of history.
This position is one in which we restore through indemnity for all the people of the world, become guides for the spirits in the spirit world and their descendants in the future and open the way for them to follow. We must think that we are alive in order to stand in this position of a messiah. (March 22, 1970)

Tribal Messiah and Home Church

At the time of proclaiming “Declaration of God’s Eternal Blessing”, I said, “Register as tribal messiahs.” This means going beyond the level of a family messiah to become a tribal messiah.
A tribe is a combination of two surnames: father and mother, husband and wife. The tribal messiah is the messiah for two names. The messiah is True Parents.
No one can become a messiah through a single surname alone.
As the family messiah is a candidate for tribal messiah and a tribe is a combination of two surnames, once they become one, you ascend to the position of tribal messiah.
After that, the tribe is not enough. Next you must organize people. The people must include the twelve tribes. Only when the twelve tribes become one can the structure of a true nation emerge. (July 2, 2003)

You are on a path to establish a base that connects the realm of heart of the individual to the realm of heart of the family, tribe, nation, world and cosmos. I hope you can understand the importance of the level of tribal messiah. If we look at the family as the formation stage, then the tribe is the growth stage and the nation is completion. Beginning with the nation, the nation is formation, the world is growth and the cosmos is completion. Beginning from the world, the world is formation, heaven and earth are growth and God is completion. Love is what connects everything. When we look at the principle of development through three stages, the tribal messiah level is crucial to recover the nation. You need to return to your hometown and become tribal messiahs. But this does not mean the Home Church movement, which has been active these past years, should disappear. Your Home Church foundation is the Cain foundation, and your foundation with your extended family is the Abel foundation. If you shed tears, sweat and blood to establish your Home Church foundation, your extended family will turn around automatically. If you return to your extended family after having saved one hundred people through your Home Church, they will welcome you as a hero or heroine. The entire neighborhood will be able to turn around in one evening. Your record will speak for itself. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 2, 4)

If you want to fulfill your responsibility as a tribal messiah, you need to restore your Cain-type tribe and your Abel-type tribe. When you offer devotional conditions and find 120 followers who are willing to work, giving their lives and assets, these followers will address your parents and say, “You toiled so hard to raise your son or daughter! Your son or daughter in turn has toiled so much to save us!” When these 120 people gather as your clan for a banquet and exchange these words of appreciation, everything will turn around in one night. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 2, 3)

As tribal messiah, you are the leader who guides a tribe to its hometown within your lifetime. You are the leader just as Moses was during the Exodus. You should not do this blindly. Your destination is your hometown. However, by the Principle you cannot enter your hometown without recovering Cain. Since your older brother’s tribe remains in Satan’s world, you have to save your older brother and have his tribe join yours. Otherwise, they will stay with Satan and be separate from your tribe. When you save your older brother, he will protect you like a hedge. Then when you go to your hometown, you can save your extended family. If this achievement is not in place, even if you witness to your father and mother, Satan will capture them again. They will be taken again. Although you witness to your father and mother, to your relatives, even to the people of your hometown, Satan will drag them away again. Because of this danger God has no choice but to lead this kind of providence. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 1, 29)

Moving forward, each of you must take responsibility for the tribal messiah realm. You must bring the external Cain realm and the tribal Abel realm into unity. On that foundation, the position of tribal messiah is secured.
After establishing your Home Church foundation, you must unite your tribal messiah realm. Two tribes must become one. This unity did not happen in Jesus’ time. That’s why he died. Therefore, we must relieve the sorrow of Jesus’ death. Only when the Cain and Abel tribes become one can the position of tribal messiah be truly established. Now that there is no more persecution, it will not take many years. It can be done quickly. (November 1, 1990)
Each tribal messiah is to embrace two clans, Cain’s and Abel’s — that is, Cain’s family and his or her own family. Jesus should have embraced Joseph’s family and Zechariah’s family. The disunity between these two families set the stage for Jesus’ death. This is the background of the Home Church and tribal church of today. Jesus was to stand on the united foundation of Joseph’s family and Zechariah’s family. The Messiah, based on these families’ attendance of the tribal messiah, was to lead to national restoration. In the same way, your Home Church is a Cain-type church foundation of your tribal messiahship, and your family and relatives are an Abel-type church foundation. You are to unite these two. After accomplishing this, you will complete your mission as a tribal messiah. Now there should be no problem to bring unity in your tribe. Furthermore, the time has come when nothing in the larger world will create problems for us. Nevertheless, my appointment of tribal messiahs does not mean that the Home Church will disappear. Even if all people were saved, the Home Church remains important. Just as the mind and body need to unite and the entire world needs to unite, the Home Church needs to unite people both inside and outside the tribes. Tribal Messiah and the Providence of Returning to the Hometown

Adam and Eve should not have fallen. They should have formed a relationship of love with God at a place that had nothing to do with Satan. But they were unable to do so. This failure, however, finally has been reversed, at least conditionally. With that as the standard, the expansion of that condition will be monumental. Having set this condition, I am telling you to return to your hometown. Since True Parents now have sovereignty, you need to restore Canaan. You need to return from the realm of Egypt to your hometown, establish a happy family that will live well for eternity, organize a new tribe, and engraft it to the nation. For this purpose, you need to return to your hometown. In the history of religion, the instruction was for people to leave their hometown, that is, leave their homes and renounce the world. There has never been anything like this, the call to return to your hometown. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 4, 16)

You must restore your tribe in your hometown day and night. Just as the True Parents shed tears and blood to save the world,
You must offer the same level of devotion to restore your tribe. Blessed families around the world must fulfill the responsibility of saving their tribes. Now, blessed families are expanding all over the world.
When God sent Jesus as the Messiah, He only sent one son. However, True Parents sent not only blessed sons and daughters but also married families and their sons and daughters. They have proclaimed the realm of tribal messiahship.
Because of this, Satan knows that he has already failed in this earthly world. He must now pack his belongings and go to the place where he belongs. That is why he stands in the very back, hoping for salvation.
Therefore, even hell must also be released, and even Satan must be saved. Those who know God’s providence of restoration must do so. (April 3,1992)

Centering on True Parents, we must carry out a nationwide movement. That is why each of you must return to your hometowns, make an impact, and take root there. Once you have taken root, you will become a tree that bears new fruit for God to harvest.
Then, where should you plant the seeds? Not in the fields, but in your own tribe. It must be sown in your parents and brothers. That is the four-position foundation. The ideal of creation is the perfection of the four position foundation—the perfection of the ideal of love.
Therefore, you must plant the seed in the family, which is the center of the ideal of love. Just as the seed comes through your parents, you must go there, bear fruit, and complete the full circle. This is the law of circulation. According to this principle, you bear fruit and plant the seed again under parents’ love.
When you lay down deep roots of love that bring joy to both parents and siblings, you will survive. (February 18, 1988)
You have to plant true heart in the original homeland. The inability to do this led to the Fall. Since the time has come for you to return to the original homeland, you need to plant your true heart quickly. You need to devote yourself completely to doing this. This is the point of my saying you should become the lead family in your clan. For this, you need to return to your hometown, make sincere offerings, sow seeds of true love and move toward the dawn of the homeland of hope. Once the Returning Lord recognizes your family as being like Adam’s family had Adam and Eve not fallen, you become a family messiah. Then, after he sends you out to your hometown as a tribal messiah, God can accompany you in your hometown. While your hometown is the place where you were born, now your ancestors are True Parents. As a tribal messiah you have three important missions: First, you must restore your ancestors; second, you must restore your hometown; third, since the first human ancestors, Adam and Eve, fell and God was expelled from their family, you must live with God in your family. These are the three missions of a tribal messiah. (1993.10.14)

You must return to your hometown. If you do not, you may lose the chance for your parents to stand in the position of glory as perfected Adam. If you spend your life without a purpose and go to the spirit world, how will your parents feel?
You must care about your own tribe. When you go back to your hometown, won’t you naturally think first of your parents and then your relatives?
The foundation for your life will be built on these family relationships. When that foundation is established, your hometown becomes your first base, and you can live there freely and with peace of mind. No matter what happens, the tribal messiahs will possess that area.
Whenever you eat something, you will be treated with respect. Wherever you go, you will be warmly welcomed. (February 11, 1992)
When you go to your hometown as a tribal messiah, it is not easy to build a foundation all by yourself. Even in terms of daily life, you must live there with your children, but without a house, it becomes very difficult, almost like living as a refugee.
That is why, if a family that has established the four position foundation cooks and eats rice porridge, you must eat together and live together as a joint family. This is how you should begin. It is difficult to do it alone, so the four of you should work as brothers. Each of four brothers takes responsibility for one direction, whether it be east, west, south, or north. With the goal of seeing which direction can break through and achieve victory first, you should focus on education and outreach.
Then, when there are not enough people, you should expand your efforts into groups of twelve. When one person works to establish a foundation, let three, four, or twelve people unite and build it together, one by one. If you do this, you will be able to advance all at once. (August 29, 1991)

The family is the textbook of tribal messiahship. Your grandfather and grandmother stand in the position of ancestors, your father and mother stand in a position representing the present and you represent the future. These three generations encapsulate the tribal messiah’s textbook of love. Based on the heart that unites these as one, you have the capacity to live wherever you go in the world — north, south, east or west. The world consists of people who are like your grandfather, grandmother, father, mother or siblings. So, if you are able to relate to them all with warm feelings, you will become a person possessing Heaven’s love and have no problem entering the kingdom of heaven. If you create an environment in which you can engage with strangers as if they were your parents and siblings, you will link to the spirit world immediately. This is how you should live at home. In order to create such an environment, you need to return to your hometown as a tribal messiah. This is your mission, so please overcome any hardships that prevent you from doing it, no matter how hard it may be. Blessed families are like a staff for walking. They are like a bridge that crosses over the global world of death and a staff for walking on such a path. Blessed families are like that. You need to go out witnessing in your hometown. That is why I am telling you repeatedly to go back to your hometown. Your position is more blessed than mine. I cannot yet return to my hometown. Because my hometown is in North Korea, I cannot return to my hometown until the nation is unified. I cannot cross the bridge. I cannot return to my hometown. You, however, can return to your hometown. What I am saying is that you are in an environment in which you can hold on to your beloved parents, spouse, children and siblings, shed tears and weep endlessly. Filled with remorse over a people that is headed for eternal ruin, you can hold tight to your parents and siblings and shed tears of lamentation in a way that will touch their hearts. Hoon Dok Family Church

If you return to Japan now, a mission is waiting for you. That mission is to build a network that connects the entire nation.  Once that structure is in place, and you cast and draw in that net, the whole of Japan must be pulled in with it.
Who will do this? People on earth. Once the people on earth begin to move, the spirit world will naturally follow suit and exercise its authority on earth as the realm of the object. (September 1, 2001)

That is why we are now establishing Hoon Dok churches. I believe these churches can become ones that influence all of Japan.
The key issue is how many people will gather through Hoon Dok Hae. If each church could regularly bring together 1,000 to 10,000 people, it would be truly extraordinary. We are now planning to build that kind of organization. (September 1, 2001)

You cannot enter the kingdom of heaven simply because you were given recognition by the Unification Church. You have to go through proper protocols that equip you to live as a citizen of that kingdom. This includes even taxes. The Unification Church will disappear, religions will disappear, and politics will cease. Even nation-states will disappear. The world will become a huge, unified family nation, a single nation whose culture is the world of heart. It will be realized by means of a thorough education through Hoon Dok Hae about the life I lived, especially about the aspects of heart. Therefore, we have Hoon Dok churches and Hoon Dok families. The family is the starting point of the kingdom of heaven. When you understand its significance, you will know how crucial it is that you make a Hoon Dok church. If there is a church, it should be a family church. As a family is a church connected by heart, that family church should be developed into a Hoon Dok church. If you sow many seeds and gather a fruitful harvest, the heavenly world and all people on earth will be able to eat. That is how you can make a new start and greet the spring. Families who do Hoon Dok Hae will have a foundation that can endure the winter and greet the spring on a new level. Thus they will prosper, and prosper even more. Hoon Dok Hae will connect you with another dimension. When you hold Hoon Dok Hae, heaven and earth become one, and the entire spirit world descends and cooperates with you. Unless you do so, your life path will not open up and you will be unable to fulfill your goals. This is the reason you need a Hoon Dok church, which is a family church. No families have been able to enter the heavenly kingdom. Even God did not have a family. Since no families have been able to go to heaven, I am saying there are no citizens of the kingdom of heaven. We must reorganize all this. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 1, Section 4, 11)

You should create a Hoon Dok church, focusing on your own tribe. This is to build a global human family. Because national barriers will disappear, no matter where people go in this world, those who attend Hoon Dok church can call that place home. Your culture and your religion will recede into the background, and the time when you talk about those things will come to an end. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 1, Section 4, 9)

If we can achieve victory with the Hoon Dok church, then not only will the Japanese archipelago be restored, but the entire Pacific sphere and even the continents will be ready to be embraced. Now, through the joint operation, let us bring to complete fulfillment the words I have spoken. (September 1, 2001)

As Tribal Messiah

Why do we have the term “tribal messiah”? The messiah is in the position of parents. Now, unless one becomes a subject partner of true love, the term “parents” does not apply. The realm of parental heart, which is to love one’s children and do whatever one can for them, is the only original reality that remains in the fallen world. It is diminished, but it is a heart whose true nature and essence in fact has remained, like a live coal, since the creation of the world. How will you settle Satan’s claim against you? How will you liberate God and True Parents? Throughout history much indemnity has been paid. By carrying out your mission as tribal messiahs, you can liberate God and True Parents. The nation, world and cosmos are all connected to you in this. Originally you should have gone through the course of a tribal messiah, a national messiah, a world messiah and a cosmic messiah in order to connect to God. These things have all been done by the True Parents; you have only your mission as a tribal messiah. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 4, Section 2, 12)

A tribal messiah stands as the center of the family and thus is very precious. I am the center of the world-level nation, but you do not have such a position. With you, the five-percent results are not there. Therefore, I am telling you to love yourself, your spouse and your family in the way you love God, just as I have loved the world and the nation. Love your extended family the way you love your children and love your family members the way you love your spouse. I have already connected the nation and the world, so if you do this, you will be connected to them naturally. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 9, Chapter 2, Section 1, 21)

Selfish individualism is ruining the free world today. How can we save the free world from selfish individualism? The answer is simple. It is by living for the sake of others. We can save the world by doing just one thing, which is to live for the sake of others. Can the Unification Church unite all religions? By living for them, we will unite them. We need to live for the sake of others. What is the final destination? What is the solution? In order to break down the barriers and benefit everyone, what should you do? You should become a tribal messiah. Only by doing this throughout the world will we eliminate the conditions upon which people accuse us on every level — individual, family, clan, people, nation and world. The fact that I gave you the right of tribal messiahship means you inherit the righteousness and results of the religions that have existed throughout history to this day. Although you know nothing of its value, it means that I have given you the ages of history that have been brought into the position of liberation, as if Adam did not fall, Noah did not fail, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did not fail, Moses did not fail, Jesus did not fail, I did not fail, and there were no cross of suffering and no historical ordeals. In the midst of those names, countless martyrs cry out in the hope that the blood they shed may serve as a foundation for their resurrection as good spirits. Those spirits were persecuted and sacrificed while seeking the Way. Through the blood they shed, they serve as a base for Heaven on the horizontal plane. Their passion to build the kingdom of heaven on earth is in their spilled blood, which is interwoven with the hope of humanity. Tribal messiahship is the culmination of all blessings. Using the Unification Church and the authority of my victories to condense the mistakes of Judaism and Christianity that have passed down vertically, I am bequeathing all the blessings that believers in other religions, including Buddhism and Confucianism, want to receive. you have all received the blessing of being tribal messiahs, which is your mission and responsibility until the time we complete Cheon Il Guk on earth. Tribal messiahship is the greatest of all blessings given by True Parents. It could not come to fallen people without the foundation of victory True Parents established in the providence of restoration through indemnity. That is why True Parents consistently emphasized the tribal messiah mission during their lifelong governance of the providence. The completion of Cheon Il Guk in heaven and on earth becomes possible when tribal messiahs fulfill their responsibility to share the Word and the Blessing with their tribes, and live for the sake of others. This will establish a realm of goodness, a peaceful world and the ideal of humanity living as one global family. Please keep in mind that all of you gathered here are not only proud true children of victorious True Parents, but also the hope of Heavenly Japan.
I hope that you will become true children who will support and assist for the sake of Heavenly Parent’ will, for the sake of the reconciliation of Korea and Japan, and for the Korea Republic, the homeland of providence, to become the Heavenly Unified Korea, attending Heavenly Parent.
I also hope that you will become CheonBo Families that complete the mission of the Heavenly Tribal Messiah by following the path of true parents, the path of true husband and wife, the path of true children, and the path of true blessed families to build a united world overflowing with freedom, peace and happiness. Chapter 3 The Providence of the Era of Firm Establishment of Cheon Il Guk

The New Year Motto Beginning in 2025

“In the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, when we attend the Creator Heavenly Parent substantially, let us, the blessed families around the world, become true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk who fulfill our responsibility as the chosen people in unity with True Parents!”
This is the New Year’s motto that, starting from today with the Year of the blue Snake, will be passed down for generations in Cheon Il Guk. (True Mother 2025.1.1)

After 6,000 years of Heaven’s providence and of human history, all blessed families of the Unification movement have received, through True Parents, Heaven’s magnificent grace of Cheon Il Guk where we can attend Heavenly Parent in substantial ways on earth. We must be grateful. As blessed families, we must fulfill our responsibility. (True Mother 2025.1.1)

we are entering the 13th year since the beginning of a new history through the victorious True Parents. True Parents’ responsibility is to fulfill Heavenly Parent’s dream on earth, the ideal of creation and kingdom of heaven on earth. True Parents have given birth to many blessed families worldwide. Through their 2nd and 3rd generations—Pure Water youth spreading throughout the world, like drops of water joining to form rivers that flow to the sea—our future will be gloriously bright. I pray this day may become one of grace, gratitude and happiness that Heavenly Parent can joyfully receive through your sincere devotions (jeongseong) and practice.  (True Mother 2025.1.1)

I am sure you know this year’s motto. Now is the time when we attend the Creator, Heavenly Parent, substantially on earth. We must create a world and nation of the chosen people made up of blessed families who have become one with True Parents.  In the past, the chosen people of Israel did not fulfill their responsibility. Today, the chosen Korean people, who brought about the birth of the Only Begotten Daughter, are also struggling. Nevertheless, because families all over the world who have received the Blessing from True Parents are revealing the Creator Heavenly Parent and the true essence of Jesus in Christianity, we are now able to clear away the mistakes of the past and enter the era when we are living, in the 21st century. Notably, this 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, when we attend Heavenly Parent on earth together with True Parents, is a time of great happiness and hope as we look toward our eternal future. Attending and Living with the Heavenly Parent Substantially

what God waited and waited so long to see was for central people to emerge from among fallen humanity, a man and a woman who could attend God as their Parent. In other words, God has been waiting for the birth of the True Parents who can save everyone in the fallen world. The result of Heaven’s work was that these True Parents were born to the Korean people.
Our Heavenly Parent’s dream is to share life in the kingdom of heaven on earth together with good sons and daughters who have received True Parents’ Blessing. However, the path to achieve this has not been easy. Yet, through the Korean people and the Korean Peninsula, something like a miracle occurred, and we could see the completion of the heavenly providence and the culmination of human history.
To put it another way, through the True Parents, the dream of our Heavenly Parent who has waited 6,000 years and the desire of all humankind can finally be actualized. This is that, through the dedication of Cheon Won Gung and the Cheon Il Sanctum, Heavenly Parent can reside directly with us. (True Mother 2023.5.3)

Knowing Heavenly Parent’s dream, I worked for seven years amid indescribable circumstances with the determination to realize, without fail, an environment in which we can attend the Heavenly Parent on earth. In so doing, I restored seven countries and seven religious groups. I let people know that the day humanity has been seeking with hope is coming, and through the process of restoring a continent, I came to proclaim the firm establishment of Cheon Il Guk. This way, we have finally created the environment in which we can dedicate the Cheon Il Temple that Heavenly Parent can directly preside over. Now, True Father, who has entered the heavenly realms, will conduct the providence to attend Heavenly Parent with God’s only begotten Daughter, True Mother, on earth. (True Mother 2021.8.24)

The world that all humankind wishes for today is a united world centered on God, which begins from a true family. Now, you, especially Christians who believe in God and believe in Jesus, must not stop with only faith but must truly attend God in your families and establish an ideal world through which we can return glory and honor to God, which is the kingdom of heaven on earth, for which Heaven wishes, and we hope. An ideal home is a place where God can visit and take His Sabbath rest. To make your home an ideal home, first you must get rid of the concept that your home is yours personally. Instead, you must make it the home of your couple. Then God can dwell in your personal place and also dwell in your spouse’s — your wife or husband’s — place. The greater the love your couple shares, the greater will be God’s desire to visit your home. It does not matter if the husband and wife come from different traditions and have different characters, different viewpoints and different shapes. Regardless, that family should be able to attend God. Their unity as a couple tightly bonded as one, although they are 180 degrees different from each other, inspires God to want to visit their home as a place to take His Sabbath. You couples must make your family a place where God can take His Sabbath. The invisible God should be able to come in and, as the subject partner, He should become like the couples loving mind. The couple, like Adam and Eve, should become as His substantial body. Then they should reach the standard of oneness in mind and oneness in body that will join God to their Sabbath rest in the place of their love, where their minds and bodies are united as one. When a couple creates a place for Sabbath rest on the foundation of the love of man and woman, they make a place where God can take His Sabbath rest in their family. The Chosen People in Unity with True Parents

True Parents are the core, the center, who can determine the standard of value of all that is in motion in heaven and on earth. I am saying that they are the measure of value that is the hope of all beings. This is true because God is such a being. He is the origin of the Principle, the center of all ages and eras, and the owner of the future. He seeks to harvest the fruit of history. True Parents are the central headquarters in which God dwells. (Cheon Seong Gyeong, The Holy Scripture of Cheon Il Guk, Book 2, Chapter 1, Section 1, 15)

If the True Parents do not appear, neither can true children. As long as no true person existed on earth, the True Parents could not appear. So, the Unification Church is saying, “Let us acknowledge that we need True Parents, and let us find and attend them.” We are saying we should be sons and daughters of True Parents. When we become their sons and daughters, we can inherit what they have. The True Parents right of inheritance includes heaven and earth, and even God. We too should inherit even God. If there were no owners of heaven and earth, heaven and earth would have no value. We have to be people who can fully uplift the value of heaven and earth and ascribe value to them for eternity. We also need to meet the One who can officially recognize that. That being is God. Thus we should gain True Parents’ right of inheritance. while the True Parents, particularly True Mother, God’s only begotten Daughter, are here on earth, it is essential that you stand united with True Mother. Can we leave the 7.8 billion people of the world ignorant of Heavenly Parent’s dream? Living exemplary lives so that people come to know of the birth of True Parents, and come to participate in our True Family Movement, a movement with which Heavenly Parent dwells, is your hope and future. There is a verse in the Bible that says, ‘So the last will be first, and the first last.’ [Matt. 20:16] If you become now become one with True Parents in this era of the only begotten Daughter, your efforts will come to fruition. You are the second, third and fourth generation children who were born of blessed families through True Parents. I told you that you are Pure Water, did I not? I am your Wang Omma [Grand Mom] who is directly attending Heavenly Parent and making history by bringing the dream of one family of humankind to fruition on earth. Therefore you, who are Pure Water, should become the central figures in the work of national restoration and world restoration that your Wang Omma is carrying out, by establishing the kingdom of heaven on earth where we can all attend Heavenly Parent in our homes, families, churches, and nations. You will do that, won’t you? Thank you! Only when you become 100%, 120% one with me while I am here on earth and achieve the completion of the providence will you become great and historic central figures who will be remembered forever, and have prestigious descendants come through your families. When you pray you say, “We are the fruit of six thousand years of history;” but how are you the fruit of six thousand years? You are simply your parents’ children. Yet since you are connected to True Parents, you can be a fruit of history and a starting point of the future. Thus, your hope is not in the future, but in the True Parents. When you unite with True Parents, the nation, the tribe and the family can emerge. True Parents embody in substance all the glory and values of heaven and earth. Would you exchange True Parents for all the money in the world? Can you purchase them with your life? You are now living in a different time. Wherever you go, you should attend True Parents. Today both the left wing and the right wing are on the verge of collapse. Who brought things to this point? God and True Parents did. You families who have become one with True Parents have inherited True Parents’ path, so you should be bold and strong wherever you are in the world. Then, just as God and this universe protect me, they will protect your families, and winning the heart of a nation will be no problem. You should stand at the forefront with me. Because God has gone forward selflessly, I could not go forward thinking of myself. God has been looking for a person such as me. Without finding such a person on earth, one who could pay indemnity, He could not resolve his sorrow. God’s six-thousand-year history of sorrow dwells in my family. Enemies within and without have persecuted and tried to stop me. God also walked this path. This came about because of our wrongdoing. No one has been able to understand God’s deep heart. In this environment, God struggled to find and raise up the family of His ideal. Now that the True Parents have come forth, you too have to walk the same path. You cannot go this way without resolving the past, and you cannot go this way thinking of your family. You need to know how great my internal suffering was. I should be able to forget my suffering by looking at your families. Blessed families should become a shield around the Parents’ family and should be able to demonstrate excellence. They should be families that represent a new world. Even now, there should be people who are striving to become those families. we will create a community based on the culture of heart, in harmony and unity, with True Parents and true families. Each of you, without exception, found the path of God’s Will because Heaven chose you. It was based on the merits of your ancestors and because of the character you personally acquired. In order to follow True Parents and enter this realm of victory that we have now, you have faced immeasurable persecution. That makes us all a part of a single family, a community of heart centered on one Parent. Division and conflict continue to afflict the world, but the Unification family can become brothers and sisters who can easily transcend race, nation and any barrier. If you can display an exemplary life of giving and living for the sake of others, this dream will surely come true. Especially in this time of great transition in the providence, I ask that you unite with True Parents in your heart. The blessed families are true children of Heaven’s lineage to whom my husband and I have given birth through our tearful embrace. They are called by Heaven, so I call them chosen blessed families. True Father and I will sit across the table from these chosen blessed families forever. We will not forget for even a moment our countless children’s intense tears and streaming sweat as they endured lonely struggles for the sake of God’s will. (Mother of Peace, p309)

All around the world—in more than 190 nations—there are countless blessed families walking together with True Parents.  Their earnest hope is for a world of peace with humanity as one family embraced by Heavenly Parent—a Kingdom of Heaven on earth. This dream can surely be realized in our time if blessed families fulfill their responsibility.
All of you who received the Blessing today, and all blessed families, are the “chosen blessed families” who are called for the completion of Heaven’s providence and the culmination of human history.
For chosen families, there can be no enemy nations. All people are brothers and sisters centered on God and True Parents. Therefore, we must fulfill the responsibility as blessed families and chosen blessed people that attend Heavenly Parent and live in accordance with the words of True Parents. True Children of Cheon Il Guk Who Fulfill Their Responsibility

You, the blessed families, are the first among them. God’s hope is to make all fallen people into citizens of Cheon II Guk; hence, as the first chosen people, how much we cooperate for this hope will decide whether we are remembered in history.
Receiving the blessing through True Parents alone makes you into historic people. However, its importance would greatly differ depending on whether you love and live for yourselves and your family or for a greater good and for God’s will. That is why I said that we must become true owners. What is a true owner?
A true owner is a person in a position where one fulfills the hope of our Heavenly Parent and the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. It is your responsibility to obtain the authority to keep this universe, earth and world, which were created by our Heavenly Parent, steady.
This is how big our hopes are; yet the world today, which is ignorant of God’s will, is continuing to collapse, descend and go through destruction. Nature is also being destroyed as a result of fallen people. We should not become blessed families that let such things happen without taking any action.
Let us all mobilize based on what True Father showed us and taught us for the past sixty years and change the wrong direction of the world today. We have a clear purpose. We must save humanity in order to achieve that purpose. Always remember that this is not only for the nation you live in but for the world. Do you understand? (True Mother, January 13, 2014)

All blessed families around the world and all the Family Federation members in the Unification Movement have responsibilities. Just as when God created Adam and Eve and gave them responsibilities, you who have received the blessing have responsibilities to fulfill in the presence of True Parents and Heavenly Parent. Cheon Il Guk has begun, but shouldn’t there be a people for God to embrace? As he opened Cheon Il Guk, God made many preparations. I said this that to fulfill your responsibilities, find the righteous people Heaven has prepared. The six-thousand-year history of the providence of restoration through indemnity! Though they fell, human beings’ original nature has pursued goodness. Ultimately, they had the desire to become sons or daughters of Heavenly Parent, the absolute God. Heavenly Parent also had the dream of embracing his children. Each of you has your own responsibility. What you must first do is fulfill your responsibility as Heavenly Tribal Messiahs. You, who live during this amazing providential age, I am telling you cannot keep this as only your own.
All 7.5 billion people of the world must know of Heavenly Parent’s existence and know what Heavenly Parents’ dream is. Therefore, through believing in and attending and following the victorious True Parents, you stand as a true child who can stand in God’s presence. At this time when you can receive heaven’s blessings, should or should not all humankind go to the spirit world without knowing, hearing or living that kind of life?
Now what is there for you to fear? The path for religions, governments, and all aspects to unite is through welcoming the Mother of the universe, True Parents, the only daughter of God. That is the path wished by all living things that live on this earth.
For a long time, fallen humankind has been destroying this beautiful world. Therefore I, as the mother of the universe, as the True Parents, I cannot ignore the future of our descendants. It is my and your responsibility to make each and every wrong right. (True Mother, February 21, 2018)

It is important to take responsibility. Yet you live without realizing that you have to shoulder responsibility not only for this era, but also for history. You need to realize, “My ancestors, my current household, and my future descendants all depend on me.” Therefore, as a spiritual leader you must not think you are free to do as you please. It is your obligation to live in keeping with the one way, even when you are surrounded by enemies. What is the one way? It is none oth It is important to take responsibility. You must know God’s sorrow; you must also know that the more sorrowful God becomes, the more He yearns to bless you. You who are on the path of restoration must first attend the True Parents and then use that connection to deal with matters in the spirit world. God’s heart is to bequeath heaven and earth to you, to bequeath the universe to you and to bequeath all of humanity to you. Therefore, you must fulfill your mission as true sons and daughters who act on behalf of God and the True Parents. In doing so, you will prepare a glorious foundation to become true children who can be recognized by God and can be called His loyal subjects. All of you here have lived different lives in many respects, but the only thing that can give you hope for the future is that you have found True Parents and have been reborn as true children. Today, I tell many blessed couples that they should become tribal messiahs. The blessing must not end up being something that belongs only to you. You have responsibilities over three “generations,” including the responsibility of guiding your ancestors and your descendants, the protagonists of the future. Fulfilling those responsibilities as blessed families will enable God to embrace the fallen world. Only when blessed families fulfill their mission as tribal messiahs and advance to the position of national and global messiahs can the peaceful world that humanity has longed for and Heavenly Parent’s one family be achieved. Can Japan be left out of Cheon Il Guk? What must be done to go to Cheon Il Guk? Why is it that even after more than sixty years of the Unification Church’s history, Japanese people still do not know about it? Why is it that they are unaware of the Family Federation? Why have they not come to understand the importance of the family?
Japan is a nation facing two serious challenges: it is rapidly aging and approaching a demographic cliff. Yet despite these difficult conditions, the Family Federation is raising a new generation—Second and Third Generation youth—who are building true families and giving birth to many blessed children.
When Japanese politicians and citizens come to truly understand this fact, don’t you think they will feel proud of you? That they will respect you and want to support your work? If you are confident, there is no need to worry. Do you have confidence?
We are not moving forward alone. The wave of Second and Third Generation members as pure water is rising up in a great tide, embarking on a grand voyage to the world.
You are part of this movement, so what is there to fear? I believe you will fulfill your mission honorably.
You must become one with the Only Begotten Daughter, Mother of Peace. Not only you, but the leaders and politicians of your nation must come to welcome her. You must offer sincere devotion and prayer so that they can one day say,

Through this we need to find the hometown that God wished for. Where is that hometown? It’s True Parents’ hometown. So, Japan and Korea should work on the unification of Korea with one heart. (True Mother, october,22, 2013)

I have said that the Family Federation must now advance based on two pillars: the Holy Spirit and the Truth. You need to offer a lot of Cheon Shim Won prayer devotions for a good environment. There are still a lot of obstacles in the way of achieving a heavenly unified Korea and a heavenly unified world. You all know this, right? (True mother 2023.02.22)

Wherever you go, you should proudly identify yourself as a Unification Church member. “We belong to True Parents. We are True Parents sons and daughters.” Please do not fight; to fight is to accept Satan. You should go around proclaiming, “We are the number one children of God!” Then Satan will not be able to accuse you. You should carry such conviction firmly within you. You are all here with us at this historic time of welcoming Heavenly Parent to earth for the first time in 6,000 years of providential and human history. You are truly happy blessed families. And as blessed families, you have a sacred responsibility.
The restoration of your tribe, your nation, and the world is a mission that you must fulfill. You cannot let me do it alone. Do you understand?
Just as I have established an environmental sphere to accomplish this purpose in your lifetime, you can also do it.
